David Guetta is the pioneer of French house. The loveparade itself is a great visual fiesta, club after club having mobile DJ's in stripped down busses that overloaded those on board with the on board DJ's travelling up and down the avenue from Brandonburg gate. It was very wierd to see parts of the Wall still standing in Berlin and this party held in the middle of this great park, bringing together no less than a reported 1.5 million visitors to the city that day!

Prydz began making music at the tender age of 9, and was so fanatical even at this early stage, that a lack of equipment was simply a minor obstacle in his quest for stardom. He developed a habit of breaking and entering in order to “borrow” his school’s keyboards: a habit that soon landed him in a Swedish reform school. But this set back merely strengthened his resolve and, buoyed by encouragement from influential friends such as Steve Angello, Prydz was soon producing tracks that found their way into the record boxes of some of the worlds most high profile DJs. Starting life as an mp3 in the hands of only a select few DJs (Lucky me i had a copy from UK :0) ‘Call On Me’ has spread like wildfire, surfing label bidding-wars and dodging a spate of bootleg rip-offs along the way, to eventually land in the hands of Mr Winwood himself who liked the track so much he re-sang the vocals. But all these is just words... The fact is that Prydz is a great dj and not only a producer. This set is fresh and kicks ass...

I have to admit the Ministry of Sound have a very good album on their hands, I just listened to the album which has two cd's and the songs never failed to keep me listening and interested as I'm normally bored after the third song, but it was a good listen. This cd would be absolutely ideal for a long journey in car(as the the title suggests)or a party and will keep you on your feet with energy to dance all the time. Although the album has many new remixes and quite a few new songs. All round its a very good album and your going to enjoy it.

This album is another fine addition to the Perverts back catalogue. It opens with a quick blast of drum and bass then settles into a funky hip hop groove by the second track. Around track ten the tempo ups to a heavy techno beat and from then on the energy flows from garage to Jungle to pure Drum and Bass with a sprinkle of hip hop rhymes everywhere. Not having been to this genres clubs for a few years there are only two tracks i can recognise, remixes of QOTSA - No One Knows and Roots Manuva - Collosal Insight but they've been severly ripped up to sound fresh. The rest are mostly new to me and without exception sound AMAZING. I can even hear a few modern Pop and R&B riffs on the freestyles the Perverts do, where the hell did Radiohead come from!!! The mixing and turntable aerobics are spot on and i cant imagine any party not going off with this record.

Dj Tiesto’s next album, after Elements of Life is going to be his 6th installment of the ISOS series or In Search of Sunrise. Now i have obtained a promotional copy of this even though it not to be released for a while. I must say that its quite good. It feels and sounds more like ISOS 3 Panama where Tiesto returns back to his trance roots. Tiesto will release the new In Search of Sunrise 6 in the beginning of September. The new compilation, titled 'Ibiza' is the latest in the highly successful series based on the places around the globe that have been a source of inspiration for Tiësto during his tours. To celebrate the successful concept behind the In Search of Sunrise compilations, a special event will be held at the Heineken Music Hall on Saturday the 3rd of November.
